| Structural high performance polymercomposite systems are indisputably some of the most effective materials, and the modern building industry can no longer be imagined without them. The challenges in industry, building trades and in building reconstruction became obvious to DEPAC early on and therefore we introduced a large number of effective and economical products onto the market. For example, concrete is one of the most versatile and frequently used materials in the building industry. Unfortunately concrete is not particularly chemically resistant, and its surface has to be protected by other materials for it to be used in industrial applications. Conventional protection such as natural stone, tiles, paint and coatings do not provide permanent protection. The loss of adhesion and the flaking off, leaks in the joints, mechanical wear etc. mean that aggressive media or process chemicals can enter into the concrete base and attack the steel reinforcement and cables or pipes. If penetration proceeds further, the groundwater may become contaminated and the environment may become heavily polluted, sometimes without being noticed. Based on comprehensive know-how, as well as utilising the most modern, innovative processing methods, the DEPAC Technical Products Division offers a large range of materials for the surface protection of concrete buildings and floors.
