DEPAC was founded in 1983 by Peter J. Kopicki with the intention of supplying standard stationary mechanical seals to the process industry.
In those days practically all the seals sold to the process industry for their pump and agitator applications were dynamic mechanical seals. Companies world-wide didn't even know that stationary mechanical seals existed, yet alone that they are far more reliable in operation, require repairs far less often and produce no overheads through sleeve wear, maintenance of production equipment, etc.
DEPAC was confident that companies would be more than a little interested in such huge potential for improvements in their maintenance departments and that they would provide a sound basis for a new company with this business model.
DEPAC was the first and only seal manufacturer to develop and market stationary versions of single seals, double seals and cartridge seals for all relevant applications in industry.
The result was that within a very short time DEPAC was enjoying above-average sales success world-wide with the help of a network of exclusive agencies. Today it is held in high regard as one of the most important manufacturers of state-of-the-art and cost-effective mechanical seals.
In the meantime DEPAC products are being marketed and sold in more than 30 countries.
